How is the world looking in these areas, through your eyes?
Then remember - EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED. You and your well-being is not separate from the world's well being.

I've wanted to become a morning person, I've known how important quality sleep is, and I've been aware of how energizing the early mornings feel to me.
Yet ... this addiction to late nights has plagued me.
My turning point began when ...

Like being on a treasure hunt, I began being led to information to better understand my late night addiction.
THEN ... I learned about hormones and our biochemistry.
Morning Light: The Secret Switch for Brain & Hormone Health
One of the most overlooked keys to brain vitality and balanced hormones is something free, ancient, and always available: morning light.
When we wake, our body is designed to produce a cortisol awakening response (CAR)—a surge of energy within the first 30 minutes. Think of it as your “internal sunshine” that wakes up the brain, sets your circadian clock, and orchestrates your other hormones (estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, melatonin, even growth hormone).
If this morning cortisol peak is strong and healthy, the whole day flows better:
When it’s weak or disrupted, we feel brain fog, fatigue, fragmented sleep, and (for women) more intense menopausal symptoms.

When we first wake up (and also just before sleep), our brain is naturally in an alpha–theta blend. That’s the liminal “in-between” state — not fully in deep unconscious sleep, but not yet in the full-speed beta waves of problem-solving mode.
Here’s what that means practically:
In those first few minutes after waking, your analytical “gatekeeper” (the beta-dominant prefrontal filter) is still drowsy. This makes your subconscious mind more open to suggestion — a prime window to “install” new beliefs, affirmations, or visualizations.
This is why practices like:
…are so effective then. You’re literally writing fresh programs onto the “operating system” of your mind before the noise of the day hardens your brain state into beta.
Now this is what is totally inspiring me today - how I came upon this reminder as I was preparing the newsletter topic on morning light!
If you pair this alpha-state reprogramming with the morning light ritual we just spoke of, you’re combining mind + biology — subconscious rewiring and hormonal alignment.
That’s like laying a double foundation for
clarity, vitality, and ease.
Here's my reflection: Back in the 1980's I was concerned for the environment and the 6th great extinction underway.
My Heart Plan Vision was birthed then.
Decades later my concern has progressed to all of humanity.
